Yesterday marked a big milestone in the pregnancy process. We finally told our families our great news! We were really excited to finally get to spill the beans. It's been difficult having to keep this immense secret for the last few weeks since we found out about "Baby G" as we've been calling her or him.
Yesterday was also a big milestone for a whole other reason. We had our first prenatal doctor's appointment! The way my doctor's office works is you rotate meeting with the MD and meeting with a Nurse Practitioner. Yesterday we met with our Nurse Practitioner, and got the full run down of tests and questions to make sure I'm doing ok. Good news is I'm doing very well so far, minus the almost daily nausea and fatigue part. The most exciting part, though, of the appointment, was getting our first ultrasound. We got to see the little blob on the ultrasound screen but most wonderfully, the little heartbeat as well!
Our baby is about the size of an olive so far and was projected at yesterday's appointment to be about 8 weeks, 5 days along. So this puts our projected due date at September 10, 2010. Mark your calendars! I've attached the pictures we got from our ultrasound as well as my first picture documenting the soon to be growing "bump" of my belly.
I also added in one of the cute onesie I couldn't resist buying :)

I know this is the first I've been able to speak to you in over, say, 20-25 years, but congratulations! Hope the nausea leaves ya soon.
